St Tudno's Church

The ancient Church of St Tudno on the Great Orme was the original church of Llandudno,
from which the town takes its name. Llandudno is Welsh for 'the Church of Tudno'.
Originally built in C12, on a C6 Christian site , extended in the C15,
badly damaged in 1839, left derelict until 1855 when it was repaired in 1906.
The adjacent cemetery / chapel dates from 1859.
The Pink Sarcophagus is for Thomas Tudno Jones (1895) an accomplished Welsh-language poet.
and William Arthur Jones (1903) a Minister and Vicar.
