After some walking close to roads and crossing the river by a blue metal Bridge at Queeensferry.
The concrete path / cycleway on top of the bank can then be followed for 4.5 miles !!
This is a view from the Saltney footbridge at Higher Ferry over the canalised river.
The artificial channel was excavated between 1732 and 1736.
The Dee Bore , a wave travelling up the tidal section of the River can be viewed from here.
The bore will reach the Flintshire bridge between 1hr 45 mins and 2hrs before high tide at Liverpool.
