Tryfan
A view of Tryfan from near Ffynnon Llugwy.
Tryfan is composed mainly of porphyritic rhyolite, a type of volcanic rock ,
formed 495 - 443 million years ago.
Tryfan’s narrow summit is a ridge of rock left as glaciers on either side have cut back into the rock.
