Trwyn Du Lighthouse / Penmon Lighthouse
Trwyn Du Lighthouse was built by Trinity House in 1838 to mark the northern entrance to the Menai Strait.
Built at Black Point / Trwyn-du about half a mile from Puffin Island / Ynys Seiriol .
The Lighthouse has a stepped base and striking black and white stripes.
Its also bears the words 'NO PASSAGE LANDWARD' on its North and South side.
