Penmon Priory - 1
The tower was built 1160-70 .
The Chancel was built 1220-1240 during the rule of Llywelyn the Great ,
King of Gwynedd and eventually ruler of all Wales.
The King convinced the Monasteries in North Wales to reorganize under the Augustine Order.
The roofless Augustinian Monks C13 Refectory
with dining hall and dormitory above was built around this time.
