Elaborate Stanley House was built early in the 19th century by the Stanley family of Penrhos,
major landowners in Holyhead, adjacent to St Cybi's Church, overlooking Victoria Street.
The gable wall of the house nearest to St Cybi’s Church includes part of a Roman wall.
The Stanley House stone tower has been built near the supposed site of the fort's south-east tower
Stanley House was once home to a colourful sea captain called John Macgregor Skinner,
St Cybi's Church was built between C13 and C16 within the walls of a Roman Fort - Caer Gybi.
