Conway Falls

A popular tourist attraction about two miles south east of Betws-y-Coed.
Access is via the grounds of the Conwy Falls Cafe , beside the A5, designed in the 1930s by Clough Williams-Ellis.
The falls are located in the last gorge section of the river Conwy where it plunges 50 feet (15 m) into a deep pool.
To ensure the Salmon can Run (Sept - Nov) to their breeding areas a novel sloping tunnel (salmon ladder) was built in 1993 to the top of the falls.
