Penmachno "Roman Bridge"
Actually a medieval pack bridge spanning the Afon Machno. Probably C17 , around 1680.
Viewed from the new bridge ,on the lane through Penmacho , of the B4406 , south of it's junction with the A5 (south of Betws y Coed ).
P -100m along the lane past the new bridge / mill.
For over 150 years, the woollen industry was central to village life in Penmachno.The Mill , near the bridge ,was rebuilt in 1913 ,finally closing in 1997.
