Lower Pic - Some more of the Quarries extensive buildings to the east of the engine house / mill.
It was the last Welsh slate quarry where the workers lived on site in barracks.
Underground working at Rhiwbach began in the 1860's and ceased in 1952.
The underground tunnels / caves of the mine are now used by 'Go Below Underground Adventures Ltd'
