Colwyn Victoria Pier
From the late 1980s, the pier began to decline with the seaward portion of the pier being closed due to a poor state of repair.
The condition of the pier and the entertainments continued to decline until 2008 when it closed.
In 2017, ravaged by Storm Doris , part of the pier collapsed. Much of the pier was demolished.
Construction of the new Pier at Colwyn Bay commenced in July 2020.The construction of the 45m truncated Pier
was finished in July 2021 , comfortably the shortest pier in Wales. It is hopped to return the pier to its former glory
within a decade, first by building a new Pavilion, then extending the pier.
