A view from near the Pier of the extensive and new sandy beach at Colwyn Bay extending to Rhos on Sea.
One million tonnes of sand was sucked from a dredging site in Liverpool Bay and piped on to the beach , raising the beach by 16ft.
The beach is no longer covered at high tide. The work including a revamped promenade was part of a coastal defence project costing £20m.
Further along the Coast and Rocks provided coastal protection , but make beach access difficult , On high tides the sea reaches the rocks!
