The locomotive 'Linda',on the Dduallt Spiral Bridge , Linda was built by the Hunslet Engine Company Leeds
in1893 for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway (1801-1962).
The Dduallt Spiral is where the Railway track crosses over itself to gain height. It is the only rail spiral in Britain.
When the Ffestiniog Hydro-electric Power Station opened in 1957 a section of the railways track was submerged .
When the track was rebuilt it had to pass the Tanygrisiau Res. at a higher level, and to gain sufficient height a spiral was built
at Dduallt which takes the track over itself. The new track layout was built 1965 -1978 mainly by a volunteer workforce.

the most remote station on the Ffestiniog Railway, as it can only be reached by public footpaths.
