Common Spider Crab
"Maia Squinado",
The west coast of Wales is close to it's northern limit.
They live in deep water up to 120m ,coming inshore in the summer months
as the water temperature rises.
When they mate they gather in vast numbers off the coast forming a
dense covering over large areas of the sea floor.
