Din Lligwy Burial Chamber

A squat Neolithic Tomb , with a 25 ton - 5.5m x 4.6m x 1m thick Capstone - supported by 8 uprights.
When the tomb was excavated in 1908 bones of men, women and children were found .
Rainfall has eroded deep grooves in the limestone capstone.
It would originally have been covered with a mound of earth or stones,
with access to the central chamber through a small passage.

Location : From the A5025 Roundabout ,west of Moelfre , take the narrow lane signed Din Lligwy.
The monument is accessed by a kissing Gate from the lane , tricky to see. Some parking.
More Parking at the well signed Din Lligwy , further up the lane passed the track to Plas Lligwy.
