Mona Windmill - Amlwch
Mona Windmill / Melin-y-Borth was built in 1816 overlooking Amlwch Harbour .
At 18m it was the tallest Windmill on Anglesey and the only one built of brick.
A Seven story tower , was struck by lightning in 1876, killing the then-miller.
The mill ceased operation in the early 20th Century.
The Windmill Stump is a prominent local landmark.
