A view from Clogwyn y Garreg (336m) over the Spoil tips
of Glanrafon Slate Quarry to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa).
The Quarry developed in the 1880's with the coming of the railway.
There are spoil tips and derelict buildings ,including the Quarrymen's Barracks.
The main working Quarry is now filled with water. The quarry closed in about 1915
The Snowdon Summit Visitor Centre (2009) shows as a black line in the snowy summit.
