Croesor Quarry

Slate was mined at Croesor Quarry from the 1850s to 1878, and from 1895 to 1930
All quarrying was done in underground chambers.
Access was by a single adit leading to underground inclines connecting seven working levels.
The adit can be seen. Most surface buildings were cleared in the 1980s.
The ruins of the mill and the incline drumhouse are survivers.
On the Slate Trail , the quarry is about 1km from Rhosydd Quarry
And is a 3km Walk from Croesor village along Cwm Croesor .
