A Cornish beam pumping engine (1904) by Holman’s of Camborne, still in its original roofed Engine House restored from 1960's.
Used to remove water from the deep pits , over 500 feet deep , that were necessary to exploit the vertical slate veins
in the valley floor quarry pits of Nantlle.The Slate Trail passes through this area.
